Celebrating Rob Damon

We’re Celebrating Rob Damon with three of his books rolled into one.  Tough Love Buddy, Hit Man Run and Into the Team.  From romance on a construction site, to extreme bromance in a football team.  Rob writes off the cuff. He thinks outside the box.  His characters aren’t stereotypical of gay men and he writes with passion.  From the very first word of each of these books, Rob invites you to take a journey with him and he doesn’t let up.

A bachelor of science (Computing), Rob worked as a software developer for over 15 years before turning his full time attention to learning the craft of writing. His love of science drew him into science fiction, but his love of man drew him to the MM genre. With his strategy of thinking differently, he aims to bring something to the market that pushes the boundaries. Rob was born and raised in Manchester, England. Spent seven years living in London, but now lives back in his home city. Interests include learning all he can about people – what makes them tick, what motivates them.

Some rave reviews for Mr. Damon’s work

It seems I’ve found another new author to keep my eye on. Honestly I can’t remember who posted something on Facebook about this book, but after reading the blurb I knew I had to read it. I quickly added it to my read list at Love Bytes before anyone else could, and I’m glad to say it was worth it. Mr. Damon did a great job with the book. His writing style and world building were good and the editing was fine. – Daniel Mitton reviewing Into the Team.

Fast paced easy read that ends way too soon! Where is the follow up? – PDX-Dad  reviewing Into the Team.

I couldn’t put this down, a gripping suspense drama romance story that had me gluded to pages. This was my second book from this author and I’m glad i reunited with his fantastic stories again. The storyline is different to others I’ve read with bad and the good guys but I’m noting this has a happy for now ending. – Faye K Reviews  Reviewing Hit Man Run

Tough Love Buddy was an MM story with a bit of difference. The two MC’s Dale and Blake are construction workers (Doesn’t that put a hot image into your mind ladies) They both have pasts that they would rather leave in the past but circumstances make the both help each to face their pasts. The hotness level is fairly high as they fumble their way around each other. Enjoyed this story very much and look forward to reading more from Rob Damon. – Maggie23 Reviewing Tough Love Buddy

Inclination (2nd Edition) by Mia Kerick

Inclination (the 2nd Edition) by Mia Kerick. If you didn’t read it first time round, now’s your opportunity to see why it was voted one of the TOP 25  LGBTQ Christian books of 2015.

Sixteen-year-old Anthony Duck-Yung Del Vecchio is a nice Catholic boy with a very big problem. And it’s not even the challenge of fitting in as the lone adopted South Korean in a close-knit family of Italian-Americans. Nor is it being the one introverted son in a family jam-packed with gregarious daughters. Anthony’s problem is far more serious—he is the only gay kid in Our Way, his church’s youth group. As a high school junior, Anthony has finally come to accept his sexual orientation, but he struggles to determine if a gay man can live as a faithful Christian. And as he faces his dilemma, there are complications. After confiding his gayness to his intolerant adult youth group leader, he’s asked to find a new organization with which to worship. He’s beaten up in the church parking lot by a fanatical teen. His former best pal bullies him in the locker room. His Catholic friends even stage an intervention to lead him back to the “right path.” Meanwhile, Anthony develops romantic feelings for David Gandy, an emo, out and proud junior at his high school, who seems to have all the answers about how someone can be gay and Christian, too.

The Good Son by Oscar Orland

The Good Son by Oscar Orland

http://www.cooldudespublishing.com/good-son-oscar-orland/

Every gay publisher should have an AIDS story on their list. The Good Son by Oscar Orland is ours. Gay life in the 80’s almost crumbled under the threat of AIDS. Conspiracy theories abound of how this devastating, and, at the time, fatal disease launched it’s scathing attack on gay society. This is the story of two young men caught in the web. It’s a powerful essay, not just another AIDS story. It’s hard hitting and pulls a punch. It’s harrowing. It’s funny. It’s sad. But most of all, the story needs to be told lest we forget those who passed during this ugly plague. The Good Son is available from Smashwords and Amazon and from the CoolDudes Publishing website.

“Oh, what a tragic web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.”

London in the 1980s. Billy, aged forty, is lonely and closeted. He lives with Agnes, to whom he is a dutiful son. She is unaware of his sexual orientation. Billy has no success with gay partners until he unexpectedly meets the younger, highly desirable Carl. The two fall in love and form a passionate, sexually fulfilling relationship, much to Agnes’s homophobic chagrin. She disowns her only son and orders him from her house.

Exciting new vistas open for Billy when he moves in with the sexually uninhibited Carl and is launched onto the buzzing London gay scene.
All is perfect until both men meet temptations in the shape of handsome, sexually charismatic actor, Tony, and lusty cockney lad, Ted, with whom they form sexual liaisons that they keep secret from each other. They both believe that they can have their cake and eat it as a web of deception weaves around them, from which escape seems impossible.

As the decade proceeds, AIDS rears its ugly head, adding complex and tragic strands to the web. Will the web be broken, to allow the victims to escape?

Scarred sets the standard

Scarred by Mia Kerick was wonderful. Finished in one sitting! – Clawed Monet via Amazon

It’s a great book about two damaged souls who find the strength to save each other. – Jocelyn Smith via Amazon

Really good book which pulls you in on the first page and keeps you hooked until the last page. It’s well worth a read. – Ruth via Amazon

Scarred has set the standard for the Interracial Transgender genre! Your favourite bestselling author has done it again.  Scarred, by Mia Kerick is a compelling page turner.  It will take you down the dark and narrow street into a place where only the strongest survive. Scarred won’t let you come up for air until you’ve read the last page, and then it will linger in your brain for a long, long time.  It is an important book.  It does for Interracial Transgender novels, what Patricia Nel Warren did for Gay Fiction in general – it has set the standard.

In Scarred, Matthew North has waited ten years to heal from the devastating wounds inflicted by the man who abducted and abused him as a child. Living reclusively on a tropical island—with no company but his four cats—he merely avoids the lingering pain.

Wearing twisted ropes of mutilated skin on his back, Matt struggles with a profound hindrance—the scars that deaden his soul. However, on the night he meets lively Vedie Wilson, a local restaurant busboy who expresses his gender by wearing lip-gloss and eyeliner along with his three-day beard, things change.

Gradually, Vedie and Matt unite in friendship. Through a series of awkward encounters, the pair learns each other’s secrets. Vedie learns that an angelic face can front for a scarred soul. Matthew learns that the line between one’s masculine and feminine sides is blurred.

Can they embrace the painful stories behind each other’s scars if they’re to find everlasting love?

Or will surrendered love come to be yet another blemish on their souls?

The Island Keepers

The Island Keepers

by Kristopher Quentin

A CoolDudes Publishing Gay Romance.

They could hardly have been less alike. David is a wannabe fiction writer.  21 and a virgin with an ice-melting smile.  Wyatt is as plain as paper,  a celebrated oil painter. He is single and he is out. But, he is a lonely man seeking the comfort and love he so desperately needs.

The day they arrive on Puffin Island, little do they realize how much their lives are about to change.

The bond between David and Wyatt increases.   But, David’s heart struggles with his imbedded childhood dogma and lethally homophobic parents.  Eventually, he is propelled to establish an unthinkable bond of love with Wyatt.  When destiny intervenes, and  Wyatt is once more left alone, he turns to the most unlikeliest of characters to fill the void,  a person who will teach him an important lesson; that love is all about choice, and it has always been within touching distance.

But what of David?  Will he watch from afar? Will he approve of Wyatt’s choice? Or will he come between them and make it impossible for Wyatt to ever love again?

In this unique Gay Romance, Kristopher Quentin has created a compelling and most enjoyable read.  You’ll never forget this story of unrequitted love, loss, and self-preservation.  Available from Amazon.com or straight from our website.

Kristopher Quentin

has been writing for decades. He is a businessman and journalist by trade, a man up at 3:45 every weekday morning for a stint on the news desk; a little earlier on weekends to write fiction in his man cave.

An upstate New Yorker by birth, he now lives in the most rural area of far Maine, USA, on 54-acres of land: wooded, lawns, driveways, and a few buildings including his four thousand square foot home which he calls the white house; because it is.

His property is home to moose, deer, rabbits, raccoons, porcupines, fox, weasels, black bears, and one Bard owl. He loves reading gay romances among other forms of fiction; non-fiction; and memoirs most of which he considers to be fictional. Traveling, dining out, boat riding are among his passions; that and flying his own single engine airplane when he was younger.

Message from CoolDudes Publishing CEO:

When I first read The Island Keepers, I fell in love with the leviathan scope of the novel. It took me to places I have never been. It enthralled me. Blew me away. The book has been five years in the making and during that time it has been through several edits. Without giving too much away, you have my assurance that the characters and the Island itself will leave you with a lingering sense of joy, and above all, Hope. There is such a thing as True Love.

You won’t want to miss this amazing book. It’s available through Amazon, and the CoolDudes Publishing website.

Inclination by Mia Kerick

INCL--FR-FRT--COVER-Translator-18pt-webInclination by Mia Kerick

– the French edition

Translated by Bénédicte Girault

Now available
